SelectiveDelete enables users to target category pages for deletion if said pages were created by a set of inputted users. It acquires category data, filters page creators by a list of inputted usernames, and deletes pages if a match has been found.
The user must be in the proper usergroup to employ this script, namely, local admins, content moderators, VSTF, FANDOM Helpers, or FANDOM Staff.
This script was user-requested to aid in targeted deletion.
Users are permitted to modify the length of time between each page deletion and the number of pages retrieved from inputted categories. Default values are shown below. Inclusion of said variables should occur before the importArticles statement.
For personal use, add the code snippet below to your global.js page (for use on all wikis) or your common.js page on your wiki (for use on a single wiki). Note that personal JS must be enabled for your account.
Note: In this example, pay close attention to the placement of commas and other punctuation. For people who aren't familiar with programming (and even those who are!), a common mistake when writing code is to accidentally delete, forget, or misplace critical symbols like commas or quotation marks. This can cause a syntax error that breaks the code. Carefully follow the convention shown here when using importArticles.
